Being Human 101

An 8-week somatic journey for women to build emotional capacity, navigate stress & live with more choice.

Because you can’t always think your way into change.

You’ve done so much to understand yourself. So why does change still feel so hard?

You've read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Maybe you've even spent years in therapy, learning about yourself and why you do the things you do.

And yet...

You still find yourself reacting in ways you wish you wouldn't.

Feeling overwhelmed by things that seem so small to everyone else.

Saying yes when you really want to say no.

Overthinking conversations, replaying situations, or struggling to let things go.

You understand so much about yourself.

So why does your body keep responding as though nothing has changed?

Because understanding a pattern isn't the same as changing it.

Here's what most of us were never taught.

Your nervous system is constantly taking in information, assessing safety, and shaping how you respond to the world around you.

Many of these responses happen automatically, before you've even had a chance to consciously think about them.

Over time, your nervous system develops protective patterns based on your experiences and what you've learned was necessary to feel safe, connected, or accepted.

These patterns can show up as people-pleasing, overthinking, shutting down, becoming defensive, or feeling overwhelmed.

And even when you recognize these patterns and understand where they came from, they can continue showing up.

Because you can't always think your way out of a response that didn't begin with a conscious thought.

But here's the good news.

Your nervous system has the capacity to learn, adapt, and respond differently.

And that's where a different kind of work begins.

Imagine having more choice in how you respond to life.

What if you could begin to recognize when an old protective pattern is taking over, without automatically getting swept away by it?

Imagine being able to…

  • Experience someone else's disappointment without immediately feeling responsible for fixing it.

  • Say no without being consumed by guilt.

  • Navigate difficult conversations without automatically becoming defensive or shutting down.

  • Feel difficult emotions without becoming completely overwhelmed by them.

  • Stop replaying conversations and questioning everything you said or did.

  • Recognize when your nervous system is responding to an old experience rather than what's happening in the present.

Not because life suddenly becomes easier or you never get triggered again.

But because you're developing the capacity to experience life's challenges without losing yourself in them.

You're learning to work with your nervous system in a way it understands, creating greater flexibility, resilience, and choice in how you respond.

And over time, that can change how you experience yourself, your relationships, and your life.

Introducing Being Human 101

An 8-week Somatic Journey Back to Yourself

Being Human 101 is an 8-week experiential somatic journey designed to help you understand your nervous system, build emotional capacity, and develop a new relationship with yourself.

Because lasting change isn't just about understanding why you think, feel, or behave the way you do.

It's about learning how to work with the part of you that's been responding automatically all along.

Through nervous system education, somatic exploration, and practical experiences, you'll begin learning how to recognize your protective patterns, process stress, and build the capacity to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility and choice.

This isn't about fixing yourself, controlling your emotions, or forcing yourself to think differently.

It's about learning to speak the language of your nervous system.

And discovering what becomes possible when your mind and body begin working together.

What you’ll learn along the way

The journey isn’t about collecting more information about yourself.

It’s about learning how to put that understanding Ito practice, in your body and in your everyday life.

Throughout our eight weeks together, you'll explore how to:

Understand your unique nervous system

Learn to recognize your nervous system states, how they influence your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and perceptions, and why certain situations activate old protective responses.

Recognize your protective patterns with curiosity rather than judgment

Begin understanding the ways you've learned to protect yourself, whether that's people-pleasing, overthinking, shutting down, becoming defensive, or feeling responsible for everyone else's emotions.

Build emotional capacity and nervous system flexibility

Develop the ability to experience uncomfortable emotions and sensations without automatically becoming overwhelmed, shutting down, or needing to escape them.

Learn to process stress rather than just manage it

Explore gentle somatic practices that support your nervous system in moving through stress and returning to greater regulation.

Develop a more supportive relationship with yourself

Learn to listen to your body's signals, recognize your needs, and respond to yourself with greater understanding and compassion.

Create more choice in how you respond to life

Begin recognizing when old patterns are taking over and develop the capacity to respond from the present rather than automatically repeating familiar reactions.

The goal isn't to become someone who never struggles.

It's to become someone who has more capacity to navigate the challenges, emotions, relationships, and uncertainties that come with being human.

To recognize when old protective patterns are taking over.

To have more flexibility in how you respond.

And to experience more choice in how you move through your life.

Because being human isn't something you need to fix. It's something you can learn to navigate differently.

What your 8-week journey looks like

Eight weeks. One hour each week. A new way to understand yourself, navigate stress and experience more choice.

Being Human 101 is a live, online group experience where we'll come together each week to explore your nervous system, develop emotional capacity, and practice new ways of responding to life's challenges.

Each 60-minute session combines nervous system education with experiential somatic practices, giving you opportunities to move beyond simply understanding the concepts and begin applying them in your own life.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Live weekly group sessions: Eight 60-minute online sessions where we'll learn, explore, and practice together.

  • Recordings of every session: You're encouraged to attend live, but a recording link will be sent after each session, whether you attended or not.

  • Practices and worksheets: Resources to support your learning and help you bring what we're exploring into your everyday life.

  • An experiential approach: Opportunities to notice your own nervous system responses and begin developing greater capacity, flexibility, and choice.

You don't have to keep trying to piece it all together on your own.

You don't need another collection of tips, tools, or information that leaves you wondering how to actually apply it.

Being Human 101 brings the pieces together, offering guidance, practical experiences, and a supportive space to learn how to work with your nervous system in a way it understands.

Because understanding yourself is one thing. Learning how to create change is another.

A look inside your journey

Over the course of our time together, we'll explore the missing pieces that help you move beyond simply understanding your patterns and begin creating meaningful change.

Each week builds on the last, helping you develop a deeper relationship with your nervous system and greater capacity to navigate everyday life.

Week 1 — Understand Why You Feel, Think & React the Way You Do

Discover how your nervous system shapes your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and perceptions, often before you're consciously aware of what's happening.

Week 2 — Discover Why You Keep Repeating the Same Patterns

Explore how past experiences and learned protective responses can keep you repeating patterns, even when you know they're no longer serving you.

Week 3 — Reconnect With Your Body & Learn Its Language

Begin recognizing the signals your body has been sending you and learn how to listen, understand, and respond to them differently.

Week 4 — Build Greater Capacity for Stress & Emotional Regulation

Learn how to develop greater nervous system flexibility so you can navigate uncomfortable emotions, recover from stress, and feel less controlled by your reactions.

Week 5 — Learn to Work With Your Nervous System Instead of Against It

Explore how to recognize activation, respond to your body's needs, and support yourself through stress rather than automatically shutting down, pushing through, or trying to escape uncomfortable feelings.

Week 6 — Create Your Personal Toolbox for Lasting Change

Discover practices and resources that support your unique nervous system, helping you build capacity and develop new ways of responding instead of relying on familiar coping patterns.

Week 7 — Experience More Safety & Connection in Your Relationships

Explore how connection, co-regulation, and attunement influence your nervous system and how to experience greater safety and connection with yourself and others.

Week 8 — Bringing It All Together: More Capacity, More Choice, More You

Explore how to apply what you've learned to real-life situations, relationships, emotions, and challenges. We'll make space for questions, reflection, and practical examples to help you continue working with your nervous system and creating meaningful change beyond our time together.

This isn't about learning eight weeks of information and then being left to figure it out on your own.

It's about developing a new understanding of yourself, learning how to work with your nervous system, and building the capacity to navigate life differently.

Because the goal isn't just to know more. It's to experience more choice in how you live.

Is Being Human 101 Right for You?

Maybe you've spent years trying to understand yourself, yet you still find yourself:

  • Saying yes when you really want to say no, then feeling resentful or exhausted afterward.

  • Replaying conversations, wondering what you said wrong or how someone perceived you.

  • Feeling responsible for other people's emotions, disappointment, or reactions.

  • Getting defensive, shutting down, or becoming overwhelmed during difficult conversations.

  • Knowing something isn't a threat, yet your body responds as though it is.

  • Struggling to sit with uncomfortable emotions without needing to fix, avoid, or escape them.

  • Feeling stuck in patterns you understand intellectually but can't seem to change.

  • Wanting to make changes in your life but finding yourself pulled back toward what's familiar.

You may know exactly what you want to do differently. But knowing and being able to do it aren't always the same thing.

That’s because change ins’t just about knowing better or trying harder. It’s also about developing the nervous system capacity to respond differently.

Being Human 101 is for women who are ready to move beyond understanding their patterns and begin experiencing meaningful change.

Not through more self-criticism, pushing, or forcing themselves to change.

But through curiosity, understanding, and learning how to work with their nervous system rather than against it.

A little about your guide

Hi, I'm Britt!

I'm a somatic and nervous system coach, but my passion for this work began with my own healing journey.

For years, I was doing everything I thought I was supposed to do. Learning, reflecting, exploring my patterns, and trying to understand why I felt and reacted the way I did.

And while I gained incredible insight, something was still missing.

I understood why I was responding the way I did, but that understanding wasn't necessarily helping me respond differently.

Discovering somatic work changed that for me. I began learning how to work with my nervous system, experience what was happening in my body, and develop greater capacity to navigate things that previously felt overwhelming.

And it wasn't just about me.

I wanted to show up differently for my children, my marriage, and my family. What I began discovering was that changing my relationship with myself also changed how I experienced my closest relationships.

Today, I have the privilege of helping others discover this for themselves.

I created Being Human 101 because I believe understanding yourself is only part of the journey. Learning how to work with your nervous system is what can help make meaningful change possible.

And I'd love to help you discover what that can look like in your own life.

A little about your guide

Hi, I'm Britt!

I'm a somatic and nervous system coach, but my passion for this work began with my own healing journey.

For years, I was doing the work. I was learning, reflecting, exploring my patterns, and trying to understand why I felt and reacted the way I did.

And I gained a lot of insight.

But understanding why something was happening didn't necessarily mean I could respond differently when it happened again.

I could know better and still find myself reacting in the same ways. I could understand my patterns and still struggle to navigate certain emotions, situations, and relationships.

I had also explored manifestation and mindset work, but something still felt missing.

That missing piece, for me, was learning how to work with my nervous system and actually experience change in my body, not just understand it in my mind.

Somatic work helped me begin developing the capacity to be with experiences that previously felt overwhelming, recognize my protective responses, and find more choice in how I responded.

And it wasn't just about me.

I wanted to do this work for my children, my marriage, and my family. I wanted to show up differently as a mother, a wife, and a person.

What I've discovered is that when we begin changing our relationship with ourselves, it can change how we experience our relationships with the people we love.

And I've had the privilege of witnessing this in the people I work with, too.

I've heard from clients about how this work has changed not only how they understand and relate to themselves, but also how they show up in their marriages, families, and closest relationships.

That's why I created Being Human 101.

Because I know what it's like to have so much understanding and still feel stuck.

And I want more women to experience what becomes possible when they stop trying to think their way into change and begin learning how to work with the nervous system that's been responding all along.

More capacity. More connection. More choice. More freedom to be you.
